Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee
Marlborough Military Models have created twelve sets from the Diamond Jubilee Procession that was conducted to celebrate sixty years reign on the throne by Queen Victoria (1837 – 1897). Representatives and troops from every part of her vast empire travelled to London to join the celebrations and to take part in a procession the likes of which had never been seen or have since.
Mark Twain witnesses the spectacle, which “set one reflecting on what a large feature of this world England is today”. The procession itself “stretched to the limit of sight in both directions – bodies of soldiery in blue, followed by a block of soldiers in buff, then a block in red, a block of buff, a block of yellow, and so on, an interminable drift of swaying and swinging splotches of strong colour sparkling and flashing with shifty light reflected from bayonets, lance heads, brazen helmets and burnished breastplates”.
The sets below comprise of just half of the Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Range and prices available upon request.
Please note that all models do not incur VAT charges although postage costs may be added where applicable.
